At the Shoppe we have working on our clients glass table tops and glass shelves. Glass table tops protect your table or furniture surface. Glass shelves are a wonderful way to display your items for a clean look!

The good news is, the flowers are already here. Well, right on the other side of the wall at Oak Gallery, of course! Local artists, including our very own Penny and Brandy, have beautiful greeting cards featuring their work. Some of the cards with floral images are to the right. Perfect for Spring and upcoming Mother’s Day!
Some more rain and work on freeway left things a little quiet this week around Carlsbad Village. Today, the sun is shining and it is a lovely Friday!
We have been working on repairing damaged glass and crystal items by smoothing down rough parts, grinding down rims in chipped glasses to give them smooth edges again, and using our UV curing glass adhesive to but pieces back together. When something is important to you, it’s nice to have it in one piece even if it shows some little battle scars! This week we were working on glass for windows. Often in dual pane windows, only one of the pieces of glass is broken. However, these come as sealed units and it would not make sense to only replace the one piece. It would take more time, money, and you would not have that seal which is need for the great insulation that dual windows provide! Today is a day for celebration - it's Penny's Birthday! She is the wonderful owner, creator, designer, brains, muscle, heart, and soul of the operation! We love being a part of Penny's dream to create wonderful art glass every where. Its is a joy to see how she is always trying to help others and she does it with her sweet smile. It has been a journey and we hope to celebrate and enjoy another trip around the sun for Penny!

We are so lucky to be able to enjoy some stunning beach sunsets here. They are later in the day right now, but lovely none the less! And we are glad to have some of our important tools of the trade - truck and trailer. We are a small shoppe and this lets us do bigger jobs. We have been working on some new cabinet door glass. We have clear, textured, tinted, and art glass options to complete your cabinet doors. This gives you the option to decide how obscure you would like the view to be. Different textures have different levels. Or, choose art glass to incorporate a design that has various levels of obscurity and “peek a boo” areas!

Also, tomorrow is the movie night! Oak Gallery will be sharing the comedy “Pecker” about an amateur photographer gaining fame in New York - though that does not seem to be the lifestyle for him!
