Friday January 20, 2023 Update

We have new creations hanging in our window! They throw some amazing colors as the sun shifts and shine through them.

You can see them when visiting the Shoppe and the are by our patio doors for some after hours viewing!

Friday December 9, 2022 Update

This week we have been working with our wonderful clients on their glass and mirror projects. This include replacing broken windows, since, unfortunately glass breaks! Some times it’s a fallen branch or a kicked up rock that hits the glass and now you have a hole or crack in one or both glasses.

That is why we are here to get your window repaired. Our single and dual pane window glass pieces are custom sized for your window and we can even do the install and replacement as well!

Happy October friends of Glass and Mirror Shoppe! We are getting into spooky season and enjoying the fun decorations that are starting to go up. If you are looking for a themed piece of art glass of your own, contact us! We create custom designs for our clients and they get a one of a kind piece of art that they love!

This week we were working on glass for windows. Often in dual pane windows, only one of the pieces of glass is broken. However, these come as sealed units and it would not make sense to only replace the one piece. It would take more time, money, and you would not have that seal which is need for the great insulation that dual windows provide! Friday March, 25 2022 Update

It has been a warm and sunny week for us in lovely Carlsbad, but it hasn’t slowed us down!

We do many window repairs and retrofit for our clients. We replace broken glass in wooden, aluminum, or vinyl frames for stationary or sliding windows.

If you can bring in the frame, we can measure it, you can bring the frame back home, and return it when the glass is ready where we can install it.

Or, if you send us some photos and measurements of the glass with your zip code, we can give you an estimate for the repair. Then we will come out and take the measurements, and when the glass is ready, schedule with you for the install of the new glass.

Friday June 4, 2021 Update

We are now into the month of June, summer is just over the horizon! It is sure to be much different from last year. Everyone is still working to keep themselves and others safe, but things keep looking better everyday and we must keep moving and looking forward!

We here at the Shoppe are thankful we are able to keep working and provide our services to the community. We have still been working on glass repairs - from cracked sliding glass doors to crystal glasses with chipped rims. By providing these services, we can repair many things and replace as needed. Recently, a few clients had needed help with fogged windows. This happens when a dual pane window loses it’s seal and the inside gets a foggy look. It may seem like you can wipe it off, but unfortunately the issue is on the inside and requires a new, sealed dual unit. Most often we only need to replace the glass and can reused the frame.

Another lovely week in Carlsbad Village in sunny Southern California!

In between our spots of rain, our clients have been improving their windows. We can replace old, leaky, and failed windows with new vinyl retrofit windows. This is great for replacing single pane aluminum frames to something with a cleaner look and dual panes for sound and temperature isolation. Vinyl retrofit also applies to patio doors. With dual pane tempered glass, they are more secure than a single pane of raw glass. Plus you get the increase insulation and the same fresh look to match new windows!

Friday Decmber 18, 2020 Update

Our little holiday decorations are out in the Shoppe so we can feel festive and merry! Hard to believe we are at the end of this crazy year. A lot of tough times have made it difficult for almost everyone, but we have hope on the horizon. It’s the second week of this lock down and things in the Village are quieter. The weather is staying nice for those getting their exercise (and it’s safer with less cars on the road). We are all getting take out to help our favorite restaurants, only going out if we really need to, and it is all strange for December. We hope for a safe and happy holiday, even if it is over video chat.
