Friday December 9, 2022 Update

This week we have been working with our wonderful clients on their glass and mirror projects. This include replacing broken windows, since, unfortunately glass breaks! Some times it’s a fallen branch or a kicked up rock that hits the glass and now you have a hole or crack in one or both glasses.

That is why we are here to get your window repaired. Our single and dual pane window glass pieces are custom sized for your window and we can even do the install and replacement as well!

Friday July 22, 2022 Update

Summer has been in full swing here with warmer temps this week, so we hope everyone has been able to keep cool! This week we have been working on entryway glass door inserts. Last week was cabinet door glass, so this week is the “larger” version for front doors! Plus we do inserts for the sidelites a well to match - or not! Inserts can be clear, tinted, textured, sandblasted, or stained glass/overlay. This provides multiple options of design and privacy. We can also double or triple glaze these units for a stronger exterior glass.

We can also do glass inserts for interior doors - have a porthole, half the door, or even a whole door of art glass. We are here for your design and privacy needs when it comes to glass and mirror.

Friday July 2, 2021 Update

We celebrate Independence Day this coming Sunday (and over the weekend I’m sure!)

We are happy to be in this country as it is always working to improve and we are all part of that. People will most likely relax this weekend, get the BBQ going, and see, if not hear, plenty of fireworks!

Of course, we are a glass and mirror shop, so back to what we know best! Glass! (Okay, in this case we’re focusing on mirrors)

This one in particular was installed over a bathroom sink. What makes it unique is we used stand offs to give it that extra pop as it stands off of the wall. It is a neat modern look and a unique bathroom mirror style. Great for some remodeling or home improvement to make your home’s style your own! This is a good option for bathrooms with no backsplash for the mirror to rest on.

Friday June 25, 2021 Update

We're halfway to Christmas! So maybe we're dreaming of cooler weather sometimes, but we are enjoying the sun and the surprise patches of rain. Summer is here and we are here for your glass and mirror needs! Summer heat is a big issue in Southern California, and while we can’t help you with your air conditioning, we can with insulation; specifically, windows! For our clients with single pane windows (or damaged dual pane), we can replace them with new dual pane, vinyl retrofit windows. The added layers of thicker tempered glass, air, and more glass provide a much better buffer from the elements than a single piece of glass. This will help keep your home cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and quieter from sounds of the outside. Our window page here has more information and pictures to give you a better idea of what we do.

Of course, our artistic minds couldn’t suggest windows without suggesting some art glass windows! They are great for any window, but you will see them often decorating the sidelight of a front door or adding privacy to a large bathroom window. We can use textured or privacy glass, sandblast a design, or use stained glass to create a lead and bevel design, some color, or full color!

Friday May 28, 2021 Update

Many people have spent some more time in the kitchen during this pandemic. Many new recipes were created and tried, plenty of sourdough baked, and maybe getting creative with leftovers. While being at home more, our clients are possibly noticing more things that need some kind of glass. We have had more clients updating their cabinet doors with glass inserts. These can range from clear glass so you can see all of your cute mugs, to a distorting texture, to completely obscuring the view with art glass. Our cabinet door section on our website here has more information and photos of work we have done.

Friday May 14, 2021 Update

The cool weather has been holding out here in Carlsbad! We have been working with our clients on their glass and mirror needs, and working on our website to highlight all at can do! Check back for more new upcoming pages including some helpful how to's and art glass as functional glass.

While you're here, check out our new page for Sandblasted Glass here. We use a single stage sandblasting process to create etched designs in glass OR mirror! Logos, decals, names, creatures and more can be added to your glass! Have a bathroom mirror with striking lines framing the edge, add flying birds to your shower door, or have your logo etched into the glass of your shop window! You can say it in glass with a sandblasted design which we create while working with our clients.

Friday April 2, 2021 Update

We made it past April Fools Day with minimal pranks. The biggest one being the weather! Surprising to get over 80 degrees already, but that is our Southern California spring treat… However, it’s a much nicer now and should be a lovely Spring/Easter/Eostre weekend!

We will be there to help our friends at Sebastian and McConnell Bijouterie set up and to enjoy our wonderful and talented local vendors! This is a handmade event, so expect many unique items; no mass production here!

This week we saw our clients get new glass shower units for their bathrooms. Whether upgrading from a curtain, an old style, or in need of new shower doors, we are here to help! Many clients are going with clear shower doors for that clean (and easy to clean) look that keeps the room feeling open. If you are looking for more privacy, rain or bubble glass are our other top contenders in popularity. Their texture helps obscure the view and add a little decor to the space. Friday March 19, 2021 Update

Another lovely week in Carlsbad Village in sunny Southern California!

In between our spots of rain, our clients have been improving their windows. We can replace old, leaky, and failed windows with new vinyl retrofit windows. This is great for replacing single pane aluminum frames to something with a cleaner look and dual panes for sound and temperature isolation. Vinyl retrofit also applies to patio doors. With dual pane tempered glass, they are more secure than a single pane of raw glass. Plus you get the increase insulation and the same fresh look to match new windows!
