Happy Friday everyone!

It’s a nice sunny day after some intense (for us) rains, with flooding and sinkholes! We hope everyone is careful navigating things out there.

Coming soon, voting for The Best of North County!

And as a reminder, we can quote many jobs over the phone, text, or email to help save you multiple trips!

Friday March 3, 2023 Update

Happy March everyone! We have had lots of rain but we’re given a nice break last Sunday for Oak Gallery’s One year Anniversary and Artist Reception. It was a ton of fun and people went home with a lot of great art! Plus, owner Penny even has a section where you can purchase her photos and greeting cards at Oak Gallery.

Now, we “March” towards Spring and another season of being creative.

Many clients are interested in adding art glass to their home, and we have been doing a lot of designing and creating (and more designing which will lead to more creating!) Art glass is great for mirrors, windows, doors, cabinet doors, shower glass, and more. We even have panels like the bird of paradise that with some chain are ready to hang in front of your window. Come check them out, they are next to our sliding glass door. More will be added, so be sure to check back and follow us on our social media (found below)

Friday November 18, 2022 Update

We will be closed November 24th & 25th to spend time with friends and family. We hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend.

We will be open the Tuesday and Wednesday before, and back at it on Tuesday November 29 for your convenience.

As always, you can leave a message or text on our main line (760) 729-106, text our secondary line (760) 390-2273, or email us at GlassAndMirror@iCloud.com. Sending a text or email is a great way to include photos relevant to your project. Contact us about your custom glass, mirror, or repair!

This week we have been working on privacy and textured glass for our clients. These are great for entryways because they let the light in, but obscure the view.

You can check out our Privacy and Textured Glass page here to see our options and some work we have done. Enjoy your privacy with an artistic flair!

Rain Glass for Privacy & Art

We love Rain glass as much as our clients do and use it in the shoppe as one of our favorite textures. Maybe because we get such little rain, this a great reminder of it!

Rain or Euro Rain glass is a textured glass that provides some privacy by obscuring the view and has a very artistic look to it. With the pattern running vertically, it looks like a storm is pouring rain on the other side of your window.

Use it in windows, door inserts, cabinet doors, for signage, and more. Plus, it is tempered for extra strength and safety.

Contact us today about your custom rain glass project!

And be sure to check out our Textured and Privacy glass page here for more type of glass and inspiration.

Friday January 29, 2021 Update

We enjoyed the rain and look forward to it today! It’s Southern California, so the sun will be back soon enough! Are there any rainy day activities you do at home? We think they are perfect days for working on your art.

Art glass is the passion of Glass and Mirror Shoppe (and owner Penny of course!) If you want to see our more art focused website, check us out here at Art Glass Overlay.

Art glass is a great blend of form and function as it can be used on mirrors, windows, doors, shower doors, cabinet doors, and more! We love that our work is custom and based off of our clients desires and choice of design elements. Our clients get unique work made with them in mind. Be sure to check out our previous work and let us know what art glass creations we can make for you!

Friday January 1, 2021 Update

Happy New Year!

It seems like a difficult time to make resolutions, but we can at least resolve to have a better year (to the best of our abilities)

For now, we will be thankful. It has been a difficult year, small businesses have been hit especially hard. I know that in Carlsbad Village we have all tried to support each other, but it is a challenge. We are grateful to have been able to stay open despite not being able to get much of the assistance that was given out. We learned that a “small” business has about 50 employees, which puts us and the places around us into what must be a micro business category, and I am personally worried us and many others were overlooked for government assitance. But we and our local friends are trying to persevere. By being available by call, text, or email we have connected with clients across the country with repairs. Our local contractors still order from us, and our clients know we are working as fast as we can to complete their orders as the pandemic has slowed down every step of the process. We have worked hard to try and adapt and keep our smiles on under our masks!

So once again, thank you to our clients, friends, and family who have done what they can to keep us afloat.

And if you can, support local businesses with as contactless ordering, stay safe, and stay warm!

PS: That was some wonderful rain we had to start the week, what do you think? =)
