Friday August 28, 2020 Update

We have mentioned a lot about the crystal and glass repairs we have been doing, but it’s worth mentioning how many of these items are shipped to us to be repaired! We have clients from many different states that find out what we do and send us the item for further review and repair. While we cannot manufacture glass for these repairs, we have a UV curing adhesive to put broken pieces back together. It dries clear and does not yellow while helping soften the look of the cracks. In the case of chipped rims and bases, we sand and smooth just past the chip leaving a smooth surface. Clients can email (GlassAndMirror@iCloud.com) or text [(760)390-2273] us photos of their broken items and we can give them an estimate on the repair cost and if it can be done! We’re glad we can help our clients and they are finding us from across the country.

We are still keeping with the current protocol and Carlsbad itself has an online resource for what is open and what requirements there are during Covid-19. Check it out here: https://www.carlsbadca.gov/services/depts/fire/emergency/coronavirus.asp

Stay safe (and COOL!) and have a wonderful weekend!

Friday May 29, 2020 Update

This week our area opened up to phase three of quarantine reopening. We can tell many people are excited but remembering to keep safe. We have been able to help many of our clients through most of the ordering process over email or over the phone to help keep contact to a minimum. We recently did two shower enclosure installs which you can see the finished results below. With minimum hardware and clear glass, this showers give a very clean look to the bathrooms! We're glad we can be here for our neighbors as they use this time while at home to get some remodeling done to that home!

Friday May 8th update

A few changes happened from last week with some restrictions being loosened. On Monday the Coastal Rail Trail entrance by us opened up which means more people have been in the area enjoying the outdoors. Our neighbors at Succulent Cafe opened up Thursday which means their succulents, drinks, and goodies are available (perhaps for mothers day?) While many businesses are still closed, some small restaurants are finding ways to open up here in Carlsbad Village. We enjoy the fresh activity while everyone is still working to keep each other safe!

We are maintaining an appointment only schedule to make sure we do not have multiple clients at once. There has been a noticeable uptick in text messages and emails this week and we are glad to have those options! (I don’t know about you, but they are the best for saving information and referencing back)

Unfortunately our business is still very impacted by all that is going on, but we are continuing to be available while social distancing. As things start to open up, we look forward to seeing more of our clients and friends, while staying safe of course!
