July, Summer BBQ, and Patio Doors

July has just started, and with it a major barbeque holiday! America celebrated its independence with friends, family, and fireworks. Everyone enjoyed the long weekend and we are back to work. But the sunny weather and kids off of school mean the barbeques are not over! And this is where we come in.

How do you and your party goers get to the BBQ? Through the patio door of course! And if you are still using the original single pane, aluminum framed sliding door, it could be time for an upgrade. These old style of doors can get hard to slide over time and break down from years of use. Plus, and single piece of glass is not as strong or insulating as a dual pane unit. With vinyl retrofit sliding glass doors, the old aluminum door is removed, and a new vinyl framed unit with two sealed pieces of tempered glass is installed. This improves safety by using stronger glass, and insulation due to the two pieces of glass and the insulating gap in between them. A Low E coating can also be added which helps reflect the UV rays for doors getting too much light!

Friday April 16, 2021 Update

Another year without yesterday being the deadline for taxes! I’m sure many can benefit from that! But no more talk about out least favorite “holiday”; we’ll worry about it in May!

As for the shop, we still here texting , emailing, and talking on the phone with our clients. It helps with social distancing, but also is more convenient for those needing our services. If picking something up or dropping it off, visits are hard to avoid, and we make sure to keep a clean and safe studio for our clients and guests. However, by contacting us remotely, we can cut down those visits to the bare minimum, which saves gas/energy and time. Order glass and mirror in your pajamas, no one will know! Please feel free to contact us by call, text, or email as we can answer questions, quote, and more for your convenience.

A most recent example is many of our clients have been ordering glass table tops for their outdoor tables. With the weather warming up, many will are preparing for summer barbecues and nights on the patio. Our clients call in or text us the dimensions and the type of glass they are looking for, we ask any follow up questions, and are able to give close estimates or go straight to ordering if our clients have the exact measurements.

Useful for when the table umbrella tips the glass over, a particularly dangerous pine cone crashes through, or the more benign - a change in design. Our table glass is tempered for extra strength and safety, and they are custom cut to the size and shape you need for a great fit! Our offerings include clear, bronze, gray, or smooth/rough glass (the texture often used in patio tables). Click here for more textured glass options we have that can be used as table tops (a few cannot be tempered and are not good candidates for table glass, but there are plenty to choose from!). As always, feel free to reach out to us to discuss your glass or mirror needs!
